Kick off meeting in Nitra

The representatives of all partner institutions participated at the meeting. The partner institutions are: Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, University of Foggia (Italy), University of Bialystok (Poland), University of Córdoba (Spain), University BOKU (Austria) and University of Agribusiness and Rural Development (Bulgaria).

At the beginning of the meeting, prof. Anna Bandlerová, as a project coordinator, introduced the main idea and objectives of the project. She also provided the audience with a detailed description of individual activities, which will be implemented during the three years of the project duration.

To improve the land management in the EU members states and to prevent agricultural land decline in Europe are the main objectives of the project. The project will be during its implementation oriented on the students, young researchers, teachers as well as people from practice. Within the project there will be workshops, roundtables and summer schools organized in partner countries. Their objective is to inform and spread the idea of sustainable land management. The research results reached in the observed area will be presented at scientific forums. The project partners expressed their beliefs that successful fulfilling of the project objective will result in better awareness about the sustainable land management in the targeted countries.
